  • KEY MAP to 15 Day Outback Tour

I've just returned from a 7, 270km (4,786mi) solo drive through five States that began at Wangaratta on August 1st and ended on August 15th.
The map outlines the route that burnt 515.7 litres of Premium unleaded at an average $2 litre and locates some of the features visited.
Over the next week or two I will share a few highlights from my trip in Foto Fair, to which this map may be a useful reference.

    'twas one helluva drive!

Sandra is the intrepid one, Chevvy. She's been on the road eight times longer and driven 4 times the distance.

Thanks Ed - the Pelicans are part of my holiday snaps, although probably you mean the more typical Outback landscapes which I'll be posting soon.

I think the pair of you are amazing. I couldn't imagine either of my parents doing anything like that by themselves; in fact I couldn't think of many of my friends doing that sort of mileage!
But what an education and what an incredible photo opportunity. Looking forward to seeing all your photos

Hello Anne - being born in a country like this one's mind is calibrated in thousands of kilometres and a Sunday outing of a couple of a hundred or two isn't unusual.
I have just posted some Outback landscapes in Foto Fair should you care to view them. http://e-group.uk.net/forum/showthread.php?t=34240
