Remote Control

Has anybody used the following remote control available on Amazon?

Amazon Amazon

It says that it works on the E500 but I am not so sure.

It should be OK. The E-500 uses the same multi-purpose mini USB connector as all the recent E-System models apart from the E-3.

Re: Remote Control

They are about 5 cheaper than that when you include P&P on Ebay.

Re: Remote Control

Poacher, It's possible I'm being a complete numpty, but I didn't think a wired remote would work with an E-500 as the socket is not wired out for it.
It's IR only.
I do remember reading about someone who disassembled his E-500 and wired it out to the shutter release, but I can't find the article at the moment.
There's a few useful bits here;

Re: Remote Control

Thanks for your input folks, I think I will pass on this one as it seems unlikely to work on the E500.
