Steve - if you want to borrow the 7-14 all you have to do is shout. You'll have to pick it up though as I am away out of the country for a few days. Just drop me a txt and I'll let Jen know where it is and she can get it for ya.

Hi john yes definitely if you don't mind and ill take very good care of it. No rush though I can wait till I next see you at the club if you want to borrow any of mine just let me know, thanks again. I'll scout out some places in the meantime to put the lens to good use, apart from revisiting this forest of course

Thanks Greg, I'm always nervous posting in this area, but really good to hear everyone's opinion, as usual such a helpful forum with a great bunch of people

Oh dear, that means I'm not fully amongst the great bunch of people

I keep looking at the sky and thinking that's wrong, there's a touch of purple to it. I can't recall seeing sky that colour.

Personally I'd pull the hue across a bit to the left and pull up the bottom of the colour curve a bit to lighten the road.

A nice composition, and the shot probably needs hdr to really make it work.

Grumpy old

Ha ha Nick, of course you are thanks for the comments

Your right the blue is a bit off which is all from me playing with the levels to try and get the best overall exposure that I could. It was quite a challenge as I had to underexpose to make sure the sky did not blow out.

I think it boils down to the photo could work ok for me as a personal print, but its not perfect and is worth a revisit with better kit and bracketing in mind.
