Problem with Updater Win10

I have run into stupid scenario.
Using Win10.
I regularly use OV3, and today I updated it. I thought I would check whether I had updated my EM1, so I ran the update camera option - which told me I needed to install updater. Er, I have run the updater before....
Still, I downloaded the updater install and ran it - to be told I had the latest version installed.
I've tried everything I can think of, including removing and re-installing OV3.

Any ideas?

Re: Problem with Updater Win10

Hi, are running win 10 home basic by any chance, there has been a glitch in there downloader, which I am told affects some software, or should I call them apps now, try see if there is a update for windows, which corrects this.

Win 10 64bit pro didn't get this glitch.
Worth a try, sorry that I can't help any further than this.

Re: Problem with Updater Win10

Found it - a registry key under Olympus called firm_upd.
Deleted that and updater installed.

Re: Problem with Updater Win10

I am glad to here you found the problem and got it solved.
There is a overly good security built into win pro 64.
Sometimes this can cause problems, best to disable it, when installing a n
Known software, I had an issue with one software that prevented me from running after installing.
