Bendigo - The Drone Guy

I was doing some dusk into night photography when I came upon Tom, a friendly drone pilot guy.
What a terribly exciting new genre as his Facebook & YouTube images show - he was flying a high end model with a Hasselblad aboard!

What a smartly dressed drone guy. Mind you if he's flying a Hassleblad then i guess he's not short of a penny or two .

Cracking portrait with fish, that is a winner.
Even the exposure on the controller screen is spot on.

It looks like a giant robotic insect.

Wow.... Not sure I'd want to attach a Hassleblad to a drone - could be very expensive in the event of a crash.

Thanks Beag'. The fish is fast becoming my favourite glass, but the 40-150 Pro and the SWDs all earn their keep.

Yes John, like some alien invasion vehicle from outer space.

Yes indeed, if I catch up with him again, I must ask Tom about that!

Re: Bendigo - The Drone Guy

It's not that high end really it's a DJI Mavic 2 pro at about 1349 with a 1inch sensor built in camera. I have considered buying one.
If it cost 20 times that and had a real camera attached it may be high end rather than just high up.

If it cost 20 times that much it would surely be entering military grade territory,
then some Iranian might not like it flying into his airspace and shoot it down ...

Look here

They used one work with a Sony A7 attached that cost similar.

Re: Bendigo - The Drone Guy

I thought I was extravagant buying a 700 drone. 30,000 is costly...

I guess it carries a much better camera than mine (which is pretty good) and has a longer flight duration..

Its just missing a scatter gun to fend off seagulls....

The only bird that was interested in my drone was a skylark, who was trying to send me on my way...
