"How was it for Yew!"

I'm sure we have all seen the wafts of yew pollen blowing about.
I hadn't realised that the males flowers "eject" parcels of pollen as they "ripen", no wind required.
Knowing where to point the camera was the biggest problem, Pro Capture did the rest.
The animation was created from the series of photos.

One shot from mid-ejection.

I've seen the male flowers on nettles doing the same thing. It's very weird!

I'm loathe to call you a genius lest your head should become combobulated, but very clever stuff nonetheless. You may take a little bow, or a grovel, maestro.

Wow that's so impressive well done. Didn't know that happened but maybe that's why I've been sneezing the last few days! It looks like you just caught another spray in the top left too.

Re: Capture Pro or add your own title here!

Very nicely 'captured' indeed!

How many frames went into that clip & what time delay (lapse) did you use (how many frames over what length of time)?

Also, was that indoors?

Thanks Ross.

12 frames 0.1s between, there were none spare, created in Photoshop. It was faster than that in real time...
ISO 800 f5.6 with the 300mm f4 on EM1.2 with pretty good natural light.

I'm a bit slow here & was thinking you had used Olympus Capture, tethered etc. Now I've finally got it, Pro Capture. Yes, it is a great feature.
BTW, Olympus Viewer 3 & now Olympus Workspace creates videos from a series of frames too.
