Our "house Beers" include Doombar, Tanglefoot, Old Speckled Hen, UBU and ESB. For the lighter taste: Firsty Ferret or Ghost Ship.

I would like to see more of Europe too. I wonder just how many of the people that complain about European immigrants enjoy a nice meal at an Italian restaurant or drive a German car!
Fascinates me to see how the two sides viewed the wall.
Here in the West we saw it as the "Iron Curtain" built to keep the communist population in.
In the East it was known as the "anti fascist protection barrier" to presumably keeps us out.

How ironic that much of Europe celebrates being united, some here now seek the opposite

That's wine strength, not beer!

I think the strongest beer I've tasted was a BrewDog one at around 11%, it wasn't bad but I'm not a fan of gassy beers. One of the most memorable beers I ever tried was Morrell's College Ale, a Christmas brew which a local pub kept back until Easter by which time it had matured into a fantastically complex and strong ale. It was brewed to around 8% I think but I suspect the extra maturation had increased that a little. Sadly Morrell's of Oxford no longer exists, and the brand is owned by Marston's.

Is olive oil an oxidiser for magnesium (I would have thought not)? I always used potassium permanganate.

I dislike high alcohol beers. The taste of the alcohol spoils and doesn't complement the malty, hoppy flavour of beer.

Some of once were East German beers in Berlin are a perfect complement to a crispy Pork knuckle.
Strange how they have nostalgia for some of the old East products, not the way of life though. Big business now is "Ostalgia" interesting to the outsider, but must have been pretty grim.

I really enjoy traveling in Europe and hope all this business doesn't spoil it in anyway.
Some fantastic places just on our doorstep, most of the people are very nice too and I just don't understand all the hostility.
Surely we should embrace different cultures and make the most of travel to broaden our minds
Please tell us when a leaver on here has shown any hostility to normal Europeans.

I lived in Holland for two years and have friends in Germany, France and the Nordic countries.

I simply voted to leave the EU not close the door on Europe.
Please dont misrepresent leavers views.

Update

Apparently the box contains “60 servings of main meals + 48 portions of meats + water filter + firestarter” for a Recommended Retail Price of 384.61.

One site has gone to the trouble of calculating the cost of what goes in to the box, buying regular individual tins and packeted food from high street supermarkets. Even with generously high assumptions, they make the total cost of this Brexit Box’s food, filtered water bottle, and fire lighter to be 91.55.

Presumably the makers of the box assume the self defined intellectually superior #FBPE Remainer class will be suckers enough to spend an 293.06 more than if they had just popped down to the local shop.

Did I say on here or you, no.
Many people do harbour those views though and their vote to leave was influenced by it

Just out of curiosity, what is a "normal" European?

Where is your evidence ?
Is it all leavers or just a few you know.

Perhaps you should qualify the statements in your posts a little more.

Not surprised this one got the response it did.

Sick and tired of hearing "I paid in all my life for this" what did you pay for exactly?

Think of the youngsters for once, not yourselves.

Ok, point taken thanks.
Still not sure on the normal bit though, can you clarify that please?

By normal I mean anyone who is a law abiding national of any country in the EU. The exclusions would be people with criminal intent or maybe a criminal background

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

I saw on the television this evening that if May loses her vote, she would be making a statement.

Does anyone, like me, think that it will be her resignation?
