Are you sure it wasn't marked 'laddies?' My bum always looked bigger when I wore the kilt when serving in the poison dwarfs.

There are many pleats in that kilt!

I was slightly more 'petite'... but only slightly.

I managed to squeeze into mine on the day without too much belly overhang but the photog behind, well he was certainly a heavy weight.

But, getting back to Gents & Ladies (& laddies), I'm glad I didn't need to use the portable Unisex conveniences on the day.

Yes, the world has gone mad.
The ferry company are as much to blame by not appealing there verdict. I notice the BBC report did not say what penalty was imposed.

Here are a few icons to use in your enlightened rest room age:

you can make up stories by rearranging them, plenty of arrows to help transgender folk as well.

Are you sure he's not a 'transgender'? Looks to be in the puddin' club. Or just too much puddin' and pie.

Well that is a good point, as there is limited space in many public places.

It might just be easier to have one unisex dunny for everyone, as they do on aeroplanes. There would be no need for arguments then, but there would be so many icons on the door the hinges would break!

Unisex dunnys - do you mean no urinals as currently available in the gents? - scrapping them would lead to poor packing density, wouldn't it.
Perhaps women should have communal lady urinals too (= equality for the sexes) - reduce queuing times at a slash!

I take your point about packing density. Traps take up a lot more space and have poor turnaround times compared with urinals.

It does always seem illogical that the queue is so long for the ladies when their 'flow rates' are so much faster. Maybe there are other opportunities for efficiency improvements in this process?

Maybe removing mirrors would help?

Re: Ladies and Gents no more. Has the world gone completely mad?

What would speed things up is if women went to the loo on their own, instead of with a (girl) friend. You rarely hear a bloke saying I'm off to the loo, and his mate saying I'll come too.
'Not with me you're not' would be the reply.

Re: Ladies and Gents no more. Has the world gone completely mad?

To maximise productivity in factory and office loos (horrible term - bog is better), one installs lots of mirrors in male toilets and a small one in the ladies one. This increases throughput and ensures a prompt return to the workplace.

See here for devices to improve throughput in female urinals.

Enjoy

The 'best' unisex 'bogs' to be seen are in France and Greece, going from my limited experience. Just a hole in the ground and a 'straining' post. No pussy footing with these civilised nations!
