chard nature reserve

During a dry spell today i popped to chard nature reserve.

one thing i learned is i REALY need IS trying to take photos without a tripod at 150mm is blooming hard

I really like the one of the mallards coming in to land Which, ironically, might have been a bit tricky to take when using a tripod.

lukly the mallards there are realy tame so came up looking for food . the swan came right up to us aswell and i dint have time to change my lense to a shorter one

Nice shots Dave. The E500 is really a superb camera and I presume you used the kit lens for these. IMHO the 40 150 lens is superb and excellant value.

The Mallards coming into land are my favourites too and you have taken a really good image of them.

thanks Peter, yes i used the kit 40-150 lense, it was a bit dull though sad had to put the iso up to get enough light in so some pics are a little noisy.

cant wait for some sun as it should bring out the colours a bit more.
