Lens infobox on the FTU wiki - suggestions sought

If you look here:

http://fourthirds-user.com/wiki/14-5..._Zuiko_Digital

..you will see a product information page for the ZD 14-54mm II in our new Four Thirds User Knowledge Base wiki. To the right is an information box and this relies on a complex template that I have 'borrowed' from Wikipedia and I am now customising it for our site. You can see an example on Wikipedia here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zuiko_...E2%80%933.5_II

Anyway - I am seeking suggestions for the data to be included in the info box. As soon as I have finalised this I can start to replicate the info box in product pages for all Four Thirds and Micro Four Thirds lenses.

So - is there anything missing from the info box you would like to see added; is there anything else you would like to suggest (sensible suggestions! ))

Ian

Re: Lens infobox on the FTU wiki - suggestions sought

Hi Ian,

Maybe worth adding the type of lens coating? E.g. I believe one of the differences between the M.Zukio 75-300 Mark I and II is the type of lens coating.

Re: Lens infobox on the FTU wiki - suggestions sought

I would like to see more physical dimensions - overall length inc. caps, maximum diameter.

Also, internal or external focussing and zoom (ie, does it change length when zooming or focussing and does the filter mount rotate).

EDIT Oops, just noticed you have dimensions whilst Wikipedia doesn't!

And another point - where a subsequent version of a lens is catalogued, perhaps some descriptor of how the new version can be identified from the original.

Good idea, but probably better for the main text as the infobox has limited space.

Yes, and it will probably be in free-form text so not suitable for a table.

Re: Lens infobox on the FTU wiki - suggestions sought

Don't know how practical it would be, but it would be useful for a graph (zoom lenses only, obviously) to demonstrate the maximum aperture at different focal lengths. Or the focal length at each whole f stop.

Another excellent idea but not for the infobox.

It's just struck me, as a slavish follower of fashion, there's no indication of what colour(s) the lens is available in!
