My best ever photo of those popular arches?

Which also, of course, might lead the entirely rational question of how often we should photograph them. This being Manchester, I suppose the answer is “as much as I bloody well please”.

Thanks. I’ve just had a quick scan of your fine blog. The emphasis on the phone boxes, and their shadows, in your own effort, gives them a lovely 3D look.

Oh yes, I instantly recognised this scene even though, like the majority of United fans, I've never been to Manchester! However, you can never have too much of a good thing so why not continue to photograph it? You will never quite get the same picture twice and this is certainly a fine example. I might have pushed the rubbish further into the bin to exclude it from view.

Thanks all. Ummm.... When I first started learning Photoshop, I took a rather different approach to that waste bin...

I have not been to Manchester so, if I may, I'll continue to look at your photos of these arches.

Re: My best ever photo of those popular arches?

However many times it's been done before, it's the first I've seen of your popular arches. A great camera angle, flawless composition, and a solitary figure adds a fortuitous note of human interest.
