The Painted Hall - Greenwich

Ian let me use the 17mm f/1.8 for our meeting in Greenwich. I've used it before in a studio, but it's really out in the big wide world where this lens really becomes very useful. The quality of the images it produces are excellent and it is an ideal focal length for a style of "illustrative" pictures that I am currently developing as a technique. This is three images stitched together in PS as a vertical panorama.

Printed, borderless at 19" by 13" and flush mounted, this picture was awarded 1st place in the Barking Photographic Societies, November Print Competition.

Re: The Painted Hall - Greenwich

Nice work Graham,

I did look at both the 17 & 12 mm lenses and after a lot of soul searching (and grovelling to er indoors), went for th 12 purely for the slightly wider view I will get on landscapes.

I have only read great reports about them both and your use for indoor architecture has proved the quality of images the newer primes produce.

Very nice work!
