Somebody has a sense of humor...

Driving to Los Angeles last weekend, the colors of the hills and sky were quite lovely. When I stopped for a photo I was lucky enough to find this interesting composition. Took me a minute to figure out what it was for...
Shot with the E-410 and 9-18mm

Maybe, but then they might know the skill of the local drivers too.

Ross, driving in LA is like being on a racetrack with way too many racers!
John, thanks, glad you liked--the composition was fun to work with.

Re: Somebody has a sense of humor...

Having just watched someone trying to do a 15 point turn it makes sense to me.

Re: Somebody has a sense of humor...

Looks liked a closed gas/oil bore with proper guardrails to prevent someone driving over it. The apparent large distance is needed because trucks tend to keep moving, and that closure valve really shouldn't be knocked about.

Well I'm a lad, but I don't get it either.
