Iceland

Hi Folks,
As some of you will remember I a while ago I was asking about photographing teh Aurora for my trip to Iceland, well sadly it didn't appear but we did have a fabulous time. I have had the chance to look at a few of the pics I took, I have added them here because there are several of them but I am very happy to receive suggestions for improvement, especially the landscape pics as this is an area I have been particularly trying to improve.

This was taken at the Blue Lagoon - called A Dash for the Lagoon

The next two show the Thorsmork area. This was completely flooded during the volcanic eruption of 2010 and is only accessible by heavy duty vehicles, it was great fun and fabulous landscapes.

At Vik on the south coast there is a dramatic black beach peppered with small rocks.

...and finally a slow shutter speed pic of a rock in the sea.

These are stunning images Shirley, 'I dips me lid to ya', as was an old Aussie saying meaning, I raise my hat to you!

Masterful stuff.

Re: Iceland

Something primeval in those landscapes from Iceland. I like it. The second one with rainbow is outstanding.

Re: Iceland

Very interesting images, i like No 1, the way the bathers disappear in the steam.

Re: Iceland

Hi Shirley, this set certainly gave me the "feel" of Iceland.
No3 is my favourite. A stunning landscape with beautiful light on the rocks.
It must have been a wonderful trip.

Re: Iceland

A trip of a lifetime with photo's to match.

Pity about the aurora, but that's the lady for you, as elusive as ever. I too missed out in my weeks trip to Northern Norway in January... a week too soon and then she was out every night lighting up the sky for hours on end. Maybe next time?

Re: Iceland

A super set. Like the last two and the final image in particular. It's a wall hanger for me.
