I've had a brilliant EPL3 idea

Here's a brilliant accessory for the E-PL3. The tiny smooth metal body is hard to hold and just a tad too small for me. OK. Enterprising types have invented tiny little grips that stick on the front of various Pens, but they still look too small.

Here's my fantastic idea: It's a larger rectangular thing that sticks on the front so that your fingers can grip it. But wait: It's hollow. It holds your spare battery! That would make it a generous grip size, the space wouldn't be wasted, you would have a second battery to hand when the orange warning comes on.

Come on someone in Hong Kong - take up this idea and make a small fortune.

Brilliant inventions courtesy of Snaar.

Re: I've had a brilliant EPL3 idea

Why not just Velcro (other sticky-bob bits of cloth are available) the spare battery to the front of the camera?

Well yes, I guess you could BluTac (other gungy blobs of gunk are available) it on there, but either way you would have to remove said gunk to get it in the battery compartment when the time came.

Re: I've had a brilliant EPL3 idea

Couldn't you use a Dremel (other spinny-roundy-drilly things are available) to ream out the battery compartment a bit?

Re: I've had a brilliant EPL3 idea

It's the transparent paint that bothers me... I can never remember where I finished off. I know I could make a mark but it takes all the fun out of it. As I'm retired, I have very little to do otherwise and all day to do it in.

And you have to varnish over it afterwards, otherwise it wears off.

Re: I've had a brilliant EPL3 idea

Ah, you see, I have long been worried by the warning notice on paint tins that essentially says "If you knock this paint tin over and the lid comes off, it will make a mess".. Duh?

What next? "Warning, using this paint may change the colour of the surface being painted"

Re: I've had a brilliant EPL3 idea

That does look tempting. It would have made a great idea for my Amazon Christmas wish list - except they don't sell them on Amazon. Doh...

I wonder if I could make one out of BluTac.

If anyone on here is a fan of Terry Pratchet's Discworld novels you may be familiar with
an inventor from Ankh Morpork called 'Stupid Bl**dy Johnson'
I rest my case. (on my invisible case stand)

Why not attach a travel coffee mug to it? It gives you a handle to hold and something to drink between shots.
