Just saying... Hello

Hi there. I'm Luc from Brussels. I use Olympus cameras since I bought the Pen Mini 1 to complement my DSLR and other heavy film cameras. I love the format and use only MFT now except when I don't need to walk very far carrying the big guns. Just back from a 4-day hike with my E-M5 II and loved the size and (lack of) weight and the photos that I took with it.

Re: Just saying... Hello

Hi there - where have you been hiking?

First question is always - can we see some pictures?

Which lens or lenses did you bring?

Ian

I hiked around Belle-Ile (French island). I had the 12-50 kit and used that 99% or so. I also brought the Pen Mini that I recently got converted to full spectrum (removal of the hot mirror) and my Panasonic 14mm with an IR filter. Also had the 40-150 in case some dolphins show up (that didn't happen).

I'm only starting to process photos from this trip. I post on Flicker at https://www.flickr.com/photos/digilux/

Thanks for the questions. This added to my short presentation.

Luc

Re: Just saying... Hello

That's a very enjoyable photostream you have on Flickr

Well done.

Where did you get your Mini converted and was it expensive?

I have an E-PL1 converted to near infra red usable for false colour images.

Re: Just saying... Hello

I enjoyed looking through your Flickr images too. Maybe when Ian has sorted out all the forum updates you'll post more here.

Thanks! I sent the mini to Germany (eBay seller customkamera2012) and it was a nice experience (quick and much less expensive than other options I've heard of).

In the photo share option in Flickr look for BBCode - 1024 wide is about the right size.

Copy the code and paste into your forum post - simple!
