Re: Advice on shooting dragonflies and other small fast moving objects

Hi Ross, I am waiting with bated breath for the dragonfly season to start! Should be soon? However I think there is little improvement for DIF even with Firmware 3. Which is better, but not that Eureka moment! Please do not attack me for for my following observations I am a newbie to everything oly my EM1/40-150pro combo still struggles with BIF let alone DIF. Shooting race cars planes etc is good. Therefore I am sure I will revert back to my ( camera 5yrs old lens over 10 yrs old designs) canon7d/300f4L lens combo for the DIF. I sincerely believe until oly finds a breakthrough with contrast tech, and insists on this tech, to the detriment of phase tech BIF and DIF will be difficult also and I am no expert here, focus points X types need to be used. Canon and Nikon are so far ahead in this field its like chalk and Cheese. I do want oly to succeed with the M4/3 system and I am investing a considerable amount in the system its a lovely light and convenient system, so let's hope it happens soon IMHO.
Kind regards Mike
