Out and about in a very slight thaw....

Had some time off today, wife was working...son and I walked the dog in Woodbridge this morning in the hope that I could take some pics down by the river...but guess what...it was sleeting and raining so it was too wet for the camera.....but there were so many birds close up I was kicking myself...any way went out again at the back of our house and saw some more winter visitors.....Redwings about 1/2 dozen or so, but just could not get close enough to get a decent picture, they are very wary...so then this little chap popped up nicely for me singing away in the cold wintery sun...and I then took a picture on art settings (sunset) of the dead tree....

You did well with the 70-300 considering the poor light.

I like the tree silhouetted by the sun burning through the cloud, very effective.

she looked at me and said "It's official. I hate your camera. It's just so amazing and perfect I want one!"
