You're right, David, I didn't know there were two incidents!

BTW are these too dark I am not sure I have the monitor calibrated correctly?

These exposures look fine to me, Jim. Love your shot of the elephant, you included more of the building than me which helps to establish its setting.

Jim, I love that Alley shot and the Young Fogeys is just fantastic (I didn't even see them).

Jiom, the Leadenhall Market shot is superb (you just need to clone the litter out). I was disappointed with my own shots from this location but this one captures the magnificence of the ornate structure.

Reprocessed after getting rid of the litter, only electronically, not like the poor guy with the brush.

That's brilliant. We should have asked that guy to sweep the part we wanted to photograph first!

And it's good night from him....

A few more images from last weekend - last lot I'll put in this thread.

Couple of views of the Swiss Re building, en route to Liverpool St where we were hoping for a slap up breakfast and ended up at Maccie D's....

Close up of a memorial to Jewish Evacuee children outside Liverpool St:

John (Zuiko) and I went to the Natural History museum to check out the butterfly exhibition, and to warm up! Neither of us had brought ideal kit for the occasion, but luckily the butterflies tended to pose beautifully so we could make do:

And then, OMG, the sun came out! Which meant a walk to the Albert Hall and Albert Memorial was perfectly timed:

But as you can see, the sun didn't last until we got there....

After that, a walk through Kensington Gardens and a few snaps of an obliging heron, en route to lunch:

And a few final shots at a street festival just off Oxford St, just before I bowed out tired but happy.... It was fun, and John and I thought it would be nice to organise another somewhat less knackering meet some time - the London Wetland Centre being a possible option during migration time in the Autumn, if anyone is interested?

Sorry this was a very long post, but thanks for looking!

Cheers,

Jon

Thanks for posting, Jon. Another fine set from a tiring but enjoyable event.

John

Do you know if anyone got any images from the event published in AP or won any of the prises. Or has the edition of the magazine covering the event not come out yet?

Simon
