A rose from the garden

Not our garden, it was from the lovely garden of the Cotswold cottage we just spent a few days in. Maybe a few more when I get time.
Old 50mm f2 getting a workout and reminding me how shallow a dof it could get. This one's not so bad but many others were just too shallow!

Yes I liked the way the yellow red and greens play together.

Nice Phill, I like the composition with the buds, and the colour too.
Good to see a rose on here. My bushes are nearly without leaves and pruning time calls. 150 bushes, but who's counting?

Re: A rose from the garden

Thanks Lyn. 150 rose bushes that's quite a garden of flowers. We don't seem to be able to get them to grow in our garden very well, only have 4 now. This was in a cottage garden in the Cotswolds where they were everywhere. It just seemed rude not to photograph them
