300mm f2.8

No I haven't one for sale but this one may interest someone if they are happy with the 'damage' to it.

Re: 300mm f2.8

No longer for sale! I was able to agree a realistic price and the 'damage' is not serious. All I need now is for the rain to stop so I can get out with it.

Re: 300mm f2.8

Congratulations! It's a fantastic piece of kit. It's weather-sealed, so you can shoot in the rain!

Wow! I didn't think you had made a decision. I'm quite envious but may pop round with my new E-P1 for some comedy value...

I can't wait to see the pix,

Nick

Yes I realised that but on grey days you get grey pix! In the meantime I've signed up to a manual handling course with the HSE and am weighing the relative cost of hiring a Sherpa or signing up to the local body building class!

Re: 300mm f2.8

It is a brute of a lens. I use a Jobo gimbal head on a tripod.
Good lens though.

Re: 300mm f2.8

Yes, it's a brute. I use a Manfrotto 393 bracket on a Gitzo 1349 CF Tripod. A good mount makes all the difference.
