The daily/nightly commute.

Hi, having just recently got my E-400 back from Olympus, I am trying it out again.

I have been walking home this route for nine months and never taken a photograph before. I try and take my camera every day now. A couple of nights ago, after a hot day, I had my camera and took these to send my family in the UK and elsewhere.

Let's see your daily commute.

All taken single-shot with E-400 on a tripod and 14-42 kit lens. Minor pp from OOC jpegs.

Apologies for the artefacts from Picasa, not in the originals.

DavidJ.

Fantastic colours! Unfortunately my daily commute is not this glamorous.

Which city?

The only colourful lights I see are red, amber and green. Not sure whether its me but always tend to see more red ones.

Very interesting shots, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Tim.

This is Shenyang, N.E. China. An industrial area of China often missed by tourists; with good reason. Nothing to see here, move on.

However, it's an interesting place and I have learnt a lot about the Chinese people here. I'm moving down to Shanghai next.

Currently 36C, but in November it's like somebody turning the heat off and drops rapidly from warm late-summer nights to -10C. Within a couple of weeks it then drops to over -20C

I suppose the challenge is to find a photo on one's commute that is interesting. Even a traffic jam!

Re: The daily/nightly commute.

I had a thought of photographing my daily commute, but it's by car.
So I have to stop and take photos on the road home.
My self-imposed rule is that I don't get out of the car to take the photo !

Sadly not taken with the E-P1, but I'll be trying for shots like this on the way home with my new camera !

Lovely shots!

Your commute couldn't be more different to mine.

Let's see your EP-1 shots. What a wonderful new toy to play with!

Thanks for contributing!

Re: The daily/nightly commute.

I may have to borrow the 14-140 off the GH-1 to get the range I need.

After a difficult day of work, there still is a light at the end of the tunnel...

At least that's what this photo tells me.
