Massive Product Range Expands ?

I note that Oly now have the "Traveller" range of cameras and phenomenal numbers of cameras out there NEW for Sale in the market

Infact, all product providers are launching new ranges of this and that !
Car manufacturers have Sooo many models ...

I have been comparing the Renault Twizy to other Electric cars ... and its sooo difficult

The question is, is it my AGE ? and my STAGE in LIFE ? ... I often find I get soo confused ... I forget about buying as there are too many choices

What about YOU ?

Re: Massive Product Range Expands ?

The issue of choice overload is a very interesting point. I used to work in the retail industry and there is respectable research that shows that too much choice reduces the tendancy to purchase, as consumers can't handle the decision process very well and often just give up.

It is one of the reasons Apple does so well - faced with a choice of a plethora smart phones, tablets etc. which all do a similar job, choosing Apple is easy due to brand recognition and status, which enables having to go through the choice process to be easily avoided.

It's also why companies invest so much in trying to create brand loyalty.

Martin - So true.

But those who do their homework with regard to smartphones, tablets etc., will more likely go for Samy's GalaxyS2 or 10.1 Tablet.

Martin Brand Loyalty sure does work ! and it can give the buyer a "comfort feeling and security" in having the RIGHT ONE, again and again! I get "this" with Olympus and Ducati kit ... Trouble comes with something NEW ...

I wanted an Apple iPad ... then thought about "Tablets" ... and got so confused I still don't have one ! ... I ended up thinking "do I REALLY want this" No came back ...

Now, I have discovered lots of Eco Electric teeny weeny cars ... and now I may end up with a Quad Bike ... road legal !

I use the THREE in deciding usually 1. QUALITY 2. SERVICE and 3. DISCOUNT

you can choose 2 out of 3 ? but YOU cannot get 3/ of 3
