Making Digital look more Film-like

We all hunt for this, admit it, turning Digital images into Analogue in appearance, it's like the the Holy Grail. Can it be done successfully, I ask. I've seen a number of excellent conversions, but I'm assuming there's a lot of computer time spent doing it.

I thought I'd keep B&W to film and colour to digital for the reason that, in my opinion, digital really struggles with B&W. But recently I've been shooting Lomography 400CN (I hear it's Kodak VR 400 or possibly Kodacolor Gold 400 that's been re-badged, but I'm not sure). I quite like the colour palette of this film and will shoot some more.
