Re: Lightning

Dear Mark,

Great work, I am impressed that you stood around long enough to take dare I say a cracking picture. If you don't try you don't get "lucky"!

Cheers

Chris

Re: Lightning

Not sure what impresses you ... that I stood around long enough to get my camera and self wet, or that I was dumb enough to tempt fate to cancel my existence!

Re: Lightning

Not really my cup of tea Mark - you know me - if it isn't colourful with petals, it loses points immediately but having said that - it is a great shot.

Bit scary.

Now that's more like it!

Although the sight of me petalling on one of those would be scarier than your lightning.

Re: Lightning

OMG! I can't even believe you dared to be outside taking that picture. Absolutely terrific and terrifying. I love the reflections in the tidal pool and the shape of the lightning.

But don't do it again, please We want to see more of your photos, you know!

So why didn't you. My old man didn't go back to the UK after WWII (being a Jap POW) except to see his Mum & knew Sydney was a much better place to live. It's even better than Melbourne (but that's a given).

If you're a billionaire, live in a north shore penthouse with your own helipad on the roof, a harbour frontage and a fast sea-going cabin cabin cruiser that gets you to Melbourne.

Being struck by lightning will be the least likely cause of my demise.

But excursions such as this may well bring my photography career to an abrupt and premature end.
