Sunset sea at Bamburgh

Taken using the Pop-Art filter and toned down a bit in LR:

E-M1 plus Tamron 14-150mm

Do you think it is still a little overdone?

David

A nice pic of one of my favourite places, perhaps just a little too dark.

Was this taken from a boat?

Thanks, I did think it may be a little dark but that is about how it was, I'll try lifting it a bit. Taken from SEahouses harbour.

Thanks David,

The angle threw me, I can see it now.

If that's how it was, you've captured the atmosphere perfectly.

Hi David - Personally I don't like so called Art Filters;

"Art" is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, not some camera algorithm.

I like your seascape a lot, it has natural drama.

I made a contrast and vibrance adjustment and scaled down the sky to one third for a better balanced composition.

I think it's a stunning shot David, lovely atmosphere. For me I'd have cropped a little bit off the bottom and left a bit more on the lhs of the castle to make it have a bit more of a panoramic feel. Then I'd blow it up large and put it on the wall

Pop Art on a landscape? Why not, if you like the effect. I don't, but that's just me being a grumpy old man!
