OOB Images... ever had a go...?

No... neither had I, until earlier this evening when I read about this on another forum, so decided to have a laugh and see what pathetic attempt I could muster.

Here's my stab at this - sometimes interesting, but always funny - effect...

It's the reactions that kept me alive

Forgot to say how much I enjoyed the image... OK it's a fun thing to do and not to everyone's taste, but it brought a smile to my face so I like it.

Thanks for brightening the moment.

Nicely done John and very surreal. t-up

I did something similar years ago for a young singers first CD cover, of course its that long ago it was shot on film and I'd only just got Photoshopso forgive the poor quality

Re: OOB Images... ever had a go...?

@Paul - nice and simple, works very well in my opinion.

@Garrie - what d'ya mean, this doesn't work...? Yes it does, and as does Pauls - it works very well too.

I was just passing some time when I have a go at mine, I must have a search through my library to see if I can find a better example to have a go at.

Re: OOB Images... ever had a go...?

Stumbled across an image earlier of Jim, one of our Cavaliers, and thought oooh... that might work as an OOB!

So decided to kill 20 mins and have a go. A little rough around the fur edges, but t'was a laff!!

Re: OOB Images... ever had a go...?

Nice one of Bond.

Incidentally, the original iconic poster of Shaun Connery, holding a pistol with his arms folded is amusing. The pistol he's holding wouldn't kill a cat! It's a Walther Luftpistol - an _air_ pistol, and a pretty feeble one at that.

Re: OOB Images... ever had a go...?

I have had a go at oobing but the ones above are superior to my attempts.

Regards. Barr1e

Edit. I used this method at the time. http://www.logicscape.com/oob_tutorials/

No, the original poster for the cinema. The one in this thread looks like he's holding a Walther PPK (Polizei Pistol Kriminal, IIRC).

Re: OOB Images... ever had a go...?

I have now

I've never heard of this technique before, so grabbed a an image (confession time - it was taken four years ago, just before I returned to the Olympus fold ) and 'had a go'.

Not sure if it's quite what is intended for this technique, but I had great fun doing it anyway, so here's my attempt .

I can see quite a few fun filled hours ahead for me!

It's a cool technique, so thanks for showing it to us.
