Autumn on the Lake

This is the final set from today at Beechworth.
I watched a group of a dozen or so young canoists paddling on the lake.
They were constantly moving, I waited hopefully for a good configuration until at last it happened !

E-PL3 + 14-42mm kit lens

Lakeside cottage draped in autumn colour.

All good, I really like No 3 - looks like a very characterful place...maybe the highlights could be reduced a bit.

Thank you, Brian. Unfortunately there was so much glare off the galvanised roof and white verandah posts that no realistic exposure could capture any surface detail.

Gee Chevvy, thanks for liking 2 and 3. Personally, my pride and joy of this set is #1 for its freakily lucky composition.

The symmetrical configuration of the kayaks, bow to stern and bow to stern, the identical paddle angles, the head of the guy in the stern of the red boat framed by the cockpit of the blue boat. Add the three primary colours, yellow, Red, blue boats, and the girl stepping out makes this shot a bit special for me as it could not be contrived so.

Edit: There, I have just critiqued my own post !
