The better half of me?

Well I have had this one as my Avatar for a while now so I thought I would actually post the image to see what people think of it.

the lighting was done with the iTorch app on the iPhone.
Personally I think it came out quite well for my first attempt.

Comments welcomed .... as long as they are not about how ugly I am

Re: The better half of me?

Richard, as you asked I'm not sure the sharpest detail (on the tip of your nose) is actually in focus. I think the focus is just in front of your nose, or maybe just behind the tip if your nose - it's not easy to tell. But personally, in a portrait like this I think the eye should be in focus and it definitely isn't here.

Ian, you're right I did ask and thank you for the comments.
As I said it was my first attempt at something like this and if I remember correctly it was after a few JD and cokes Wonder if that is why the eye is out of focus??

Still for someone sat there in the dark (light switch not in easy reach!) trying to see a rotated live view screen I'm quite pleased.
