Re: EM10 Mk 2 upgrade

I think Paul has nailed the differences, but also I believe full dual image stabilisation with the 12-100 and 300 will only work with the 5ii (assumaing you have either of those lenses).
Thereís some talk of ď3 axis sync ISĒ with the 10ii, but I donít know if thatís fake news...

Re: EM10 Mk 2 upgrade

OK. This is good. Thank you.
Now my decision therefore to be made in this context. E-global are currently selling a black EM-10 Mk 2 for £495. Iíve been offered £250 for my EM-10 so essentially an upgrade is going to cost me about £250. The high res isnít crucial. Mmmmm.....

Re: EM10 Mk 2 upgrade

Do you have the E-M10 or E-M10ii currently? £250 is a bit light for the mk ii and too high for the original.

Re: EM10 Mk 2 upgrade

It’s a Mark 2. The offer was from Harrison’s of Sheffield.

I think you'd do better offering it privately. Try listing it here. I might need interested if it's black and in good condition.

Re: EM10 Mk 2 upgrade

Thanks. It really is in first rate condition. I’ve only had it since the summer and taken relatively few shots with it for various reasons. Thanks again for the advice.

I've bought a few items from them and they are fine, the only problem is it can take up to 2 weeks to arrive.

Re: EM10 Mk 2 upgrade

Yes. I did contact them and asked why they could sell the EM-5 Mk2 at almost half of its price elsewhere. No reply, as yet. Mmmm....

Generally camera stuff from Hong Kong is cheaper because it's sourced in Asian markets at less than the UK RRP and then there may be differences with paying import taxes (VAT and duty).
You often get non-UK plugs and adapters etc. and you will generally not be able to register or claim on an official manufacturer warranty.
The better grey importers provide their own warranty services.

There are some grey importers who are reputed to be good and some who are not. I have heard good things about Panamoz and DigitalRev but never used them. https://www.avforums.com/threads/pan...alrev.2010759/

This isn't encouraging about eGlobal.

Re: EM10 Mk 2 upgrade

Many thanks. However tempting the price, think I’ll steer clear.
