Pen F Book

Does anyone know of a really good book covering the Pen F.
Is David Busch for example bring a title out shortly?
Anyone know?

Re: Pen F Book

Having looked at a few "Guide" books, I noticed that apart from the pictures of the actual camera, the content is very very similar, no matter what camera is being explained.

Re: Pen F Book

I purchased this book and whilst it's style is a bit erratic (the author admits this himself) I have found it reasonably useful for tracking down some menu features. I did print out the Olympus manual as I do not find it easy to read an online manual!
Agree with the comment that many guide books are effectively copied from other models - there are a couple of such in this book where the wrong camera is given. However, for the price I have found it a good buy.

I bought this but can't say that its easy to understand or very helpful. As yet though I have not come across any other books on this model which is quite different to other models. But its a great camera

Agree with this - found it very confusing and not too helpful.
I've ended up printing out the 'official' user guide which is quite comprehensive and much clearer than previous Oly manuals in my experience.

Re: Pen F Book

Honestly, all these books are, imho, of limited value. The key thing is to spend time with the camera, to experiment and learn through experience. My advice would be to get a few well charged batteries, a cup of coffee and a few spare hours. Then go through every menu item and understand what it does. By the end you'll be able to write the book!

Re: Pen F Book

I'd supplement the Olympus handbook (which I've also printed out for easier reading) with articles such as https://www.mirrorlessons.com/2016/0...olor-profiles/ which describe the use of the Creative Dial features.

There is also a series of 5 blogs here: https://myolympusomd.blogspot.com/20...n-digital.html which also detail its use.

I'm finding articles like this more useful than the 3rd party guide books which all too often tell me things I already know (like how to best use wide-angle or telephoto lenses.)

Re: Pen F Book

FWIW On the recommendation of another poster here I bought a print out of the PDF for my E-M10 from this ebay seller pdf-2-print.

When I upgraded I contacted them to ask about the Mkii version and they helpfully set up a listing for that manual the same day. 5.29 well spent, it would probably have cost me more to do it myself
