First fcous stack. Hover fly

This is my first go at focus stacking. It is a 2 shot stack both handheld

Brilliant result. Did you stack the shots in Photoshop or one of the various stacking softwares that are available. I'd be very proud of that.

Tom this was in Photoshop CS6 it has its flaws though but hey I like it.

A superb result, Alf. I confess I have never used the technique as I don't take many macros I guess.

I find it difficult to get a single good macro shot of subjects like this never mind multiples at different focus points. I'm still trying to work out how its done.......

Macro is not easy but with patience and practice it is possible. Good lighting is as with all photography key to getting the detail.
