New Camera!

Having just updated the M1.2 firmware to v.3, I stepped outside to checkout the benefits, WOW!

Grab shots, 1/3200, F3.5, ISO200, 90mm (sans converter) - do I really need that M1-X I was about to buy

"New Camera!"

Taking this 'new camera' for it's first walk by One Mile Creek,
some Yellow Rosellas at Sunday Breakfast were kind enough to pose awhile.

Re: New Camera!

Mark, John, yes, thanks. Not only given the camera a boost but also its owner. I've been planning a two days getaway on Wednesday to historic Bendigo & Castlemaine, a 3hrs drive to do some night photography and steam train spotting. It will be a great opportunity to give the upgrade a good workout.

The Webb Anderson Family (my wife's ancestors) supposed founded the town of Bendigo. PM incoming as Mrs B wants a better picture of their monument in the cemetery there and you could be the man!

None at all, Tim. The update restores all the existing settings.

I would be more than happy to photograph your wife's ancestral monument.
Please PM all the relevant info as to its location, and whatever picture that you have of it.

Re: New Camera!

And I don't get to update mine for a couple of weeks*. Nice photos and not the first report I've heard about it being like having a new camera.

* On business in Lomé, Togo, and took Dad's advice: "Take your cheapest camera with you."

Wow! Best business trip I managed was to Romania along with a couple of helicopter trips out to warships in the channel (yikes! 35 odd years ago!)
Nowadays I couldn’t go somewhere like Togo without taking a load of kit.
Funnily Togo is on our to-go (!) list but as we get older the hassle of actually getting there is starting to make it look like it won’t happen unless we can fit it in with a longer trip to NZ.

Hi Jason, it's 0430hrs here in a Bendigo Motel, 200kms from home. I drove here yesterday to take photos of this beautiful historic city. Heading home tonight, should have some stuff to post by the weekend.

From my phone in bed,
Cheers, Mark.
