Bendigo Pottery Since 1859

I've gone potty

Approaching from North Bendigo my first stop was at Australia’s Oldest Working Pottery. For over 150 years Bendigo Pottery has been famous for creating high quality ceramics.
It is an intensely interesting factory to visit with plenty to photograph. There is no restriction on photography so the fish had a ball. I stopped to chat with one of the potters as he pottered!

I wanted a leg in so I put my foot in it ...

Re: Bendigo Pottery Since 1859

By complete coincidence I found out about the Bendigo Pottery at the weekend. Amazing that you should post up some wonderful photos which show it so well. Typical Victorian bottle kilns that could have been dropped down from Stoke on Trent.

Sent from my cracked folding Samsung.

Is this a one lens (the fisheye) road movie or will we get to see some of these shots at a different focal length? Having said that its working well as #1 shows.

When I saw the ovens I thought of Pizza's - pretty quick at cooking.

Great series of pix showing your story - I enjoyed your visit very much.

Certainly a coincidence and not my first visit to BP, I have a small collection of their wares (2 breakfast bowls!). Glad I was able to add something to your research.

All the BP shots are with the fish, there was no better way to encompass the extent of the place.

A pizza ceremic would be a novelty, wouldn't it. Thanks Barrie.
