Bendigo – A Night on the Town

High time I showed you around, so here's a glimpse of it for all you armchair travellers!
I had arrived in Bendigo less than an hour before deciding to shoot up the town opposite the Grand Hotel.
Fortunately the fish was attached when a groovy old guy in a royal blue hotrod pulled up at the traffic lights beside me.

Shortly thereafter a stroll through nearby Rosalind Park seemed like a good idea.
With a pod, the M1.2, and M5.2 slung over my shoulder I struggled along past Camp Hill Primary School up to the fountain.

At the top stands the impressive steel Lookout Tower, unfortunately closed at that hour but plenty of
good photo ops to be had so I set up the pod and began shooting, mostly using the 12-60 SWD on the M1.2 all the way.

It was by then seriously dark, time to return downhill by way of historic View Street, to set up the pod and break out the fish to shoot a few nightscapes on my way back to the car.

The War Memorial was all lit up and through one of its arches Queen Victoria statands on her pedestal
surveying her old antipodean domain. Sorry I didn’t take note of who the guy on the nearer pedestal is. Next time for sure.

Having driven the 120 miles from Wang’ that morning I was ready to kip,
so one final shot of the silhoutted school tower before calling it a day, and back to the motel.

OM-D's M1 Mkii and M5 Mkii, all through the eyes of the 8mm fish and the SWD 12-60mm

Thanks Mark. Although reviewing the set I see some dodgy processing going on. "Mistakes are the stepping stones of genius", someone once said.
