Your Me time now ?

I am spending my "Me Time" today playing with my new sewing machine

and planning a Still Life image I have in mind ... it involves some special alcohol

Nick is stripping the Guest room bed and leaving a delightful pile of bed linen for me ... when I empty the 2nd load of towels/bathmats to a washing line ... he says I can load that LOT Bless so thoughful

THEN Nicks out to his Camper ... he has a Webasto Heater to fit ... he is excited by this prospect ... as I my sewing machine ...

Tomorrow, if the weather holds, we are off to Mudeford - Beach Huts and Hengistbury Head - looking out for 3 x Sun symbols tomorrow with Huggy Henry ; cameras and picnic too

What are you getting up to, betwixt Christmas and New Year ?

Re: Your Me time now ?

RSPB reserves *, with camera of course. No cooking so no more burns, catching up on recorded TV, and drinking my own body weight in tea, fresh air, and enjoying two sunny days.

* I think I finally have a BIF that I am pleased with!

John after 28 years working in the same place I am used to being at work at this time of year.

The Camera I will be building is not as high tech as you want in fact they do not come much more low tech while have a lens focusing and film winding and frame number included. Though I could knock something up for a few hundred quid.

Re: Your Me time now ?

I was hoping for some better weather over the Christmas break to do some personal work. Spending Monday to Friday taking record shots I'm struggling to get motivated to do personal work.

Re: Your Me time now ?

Clearing up after the storm, we were so lucky to have electricity and no flooding, but the wind did serious damage to the shrubbery, blowing one 40 year old Forsythia right over. Got the wood chopped up, now all I have to do is get it moved. Photography on the back burner at the moment

David, I am glad to hear your not flooded and little damage

We drove out thro' North of the New Forest this morning and South of the New Forest this afternoon and I have not seen so many trees down - even in 1987 ... and we drove past Ilford where a whole estate of Park Homes (Mobile Homes) almost floated away on Christmas Day and are warned more floods this week ...

We have been so very lucky ! and you too

Re: Your Me time now ?

Silicon anti slip so you can use it with gloves at -17C with the wind chill making it feel like -26.

Some of my OM bodies are covered in a grey silicon anti slip, I know they don't slip or freeze to your skin at -40C.

I was considering red (not for that reason) Chevvy but I have white and black too.

I dont think that is necessary David as it is plastic and at those temperatures I doubt I would use it.

Re: Your Me time now ?

As I have been at home except when taking my wife to hospital for her cancer treatment, I have cooked the meals & tidied up the back room, this was of course to allow me space to set up a photography workspace & get my water droplet kit out, do some mods & take a few images like this

Re: Your Me time now ?

Just seen this thread. Right now I am sat all alone, on my comfy chair, 3/4 of a bottle of wine gone. Watching Planet Earth on Eden.

Sad eh!!
