FS: (UK) Olympus C8080WZ

Hi there, I am reluctantly selling my Olympus C8080 WZ here in the UK. This has been lightly used over the past couple of years (two weddings and three holidays). It has acted as backup to my E400 for 9 months but has not seen a lot of action recently.

As you see it is almost unmarked. No damage to screen, eyepiece, lens or body. I could go on about the quality metal construction, tilt screen, live view, the incredible lens and the great results it produces, but if you know your Olympus cameras, you will know that this one has quite a following. I did a back to back test and convinced myself that this camera produces identical or better results to my E400 with the 14-42 kit lens. Remarkable performance...

This is as pictured, with box and all original contents, except it will have a 128Mb CF card (instead of the original 16Mb XD!) to get you started

I am looking for 145 (which I think represents a typical ebay price). This would include insured postage within the UK.

Payment by Paypal would be good. I have 120+ 100% positive rating on ebay under the name Designclassic.

Many thanks

Pete H

I actually love it.

I'm not in the market right now - I liked it so much I tried to convince myself I was but in vain - but if I were I'd be very interested. You can see the genetic line from Camedia 5050z to the early E-series models quite clearly.

Hope you get a great price on eBay.

Re: FS: (UK) Olympus C8080WZ

Yes, its a surprisingly well made camera with a very good lens.. I like it because its so much quieter than a DSLR.

However, time to move on, I would like to get hold of an E510 body as my backup camera then I can share these 6 lenses between 2 cameras, plus I get to try IS :-)

Hopefully the 8080 will find the right home on ebay

Pete

I like to keep threads like this for discussion - you've signalled that it has sold, so that should do it.

Re: FS: (UK) Olympus C8080WZ

It's a good idea.

On another forum I changed the structure of the sales/wants and created an archive of all the old completed ads.
People liked being able to look in there and check s/hand prices etc. As soon as an ad completed it was moved to the archive.

It worked really well having two Sales and Wants threads - one for live ads and one for archived completed sales.

Serious buyers knew that all the ads in the live section were current and available while the archive provided a good resource for both buyers and sellers alike
