Focusing

hi all,
has anyone had problems with focus lock on their e30, with, specifically the 14-54 ii lens ?

some pictures i have taken seem slightly out of focus on auto and wondered if there was cause and remedy, i know about the camera/lens fine tune, but wondered if the `factory` setting should be this bad?? seems ok and sharp on my other lenses, bit stumped.
TIA

jeff

Can you provide some examples? What aperture were you shooting at? Do you see a difference when focusing using live view and when using conventional AF?

Re: Focusing

and please make sure the exif data is intact so that we can understand the light levels.

also which AF mode and settings are you using?

a quick check of the file in camera (you can put it back in on a CF card) will show you the AF point active on any S-AF shot - cycle through the info screens and look for the one with the little red box showing.

ian, duncan,

thanks for your wisdom, i have been reading and playing with the settings, and can see some improvments, my PC/internet has an intermittent fault, so maybe i will put up some pictures when corrected, (using work PC at the moment).
By the way, i didn`t use live view,

thanks, jeff.
