Up Helly Aa 2019

Here is the link to the 2019 UHA images
Used Olympus through out...in the past have used a Nikon D750 for the evening shots.
EM1.1 with 40-150 and EM5.1 with 12-40 up to the end of the burning with an EPM2 with 12mm f2 left the day before in the Town Hall...while the other two cameras de-fogged.
Then the EM1.1 with the 12mm at f2 overnight

This images shows my last image of ex-jarl John Hunter - in the mask - who died at 45yo less than a week after the festivities -RIP

Re: Up Helly Aa 2019

I always have fun with post processing
Done in CO 11
Set WB to 4400 K that gave a flavour of what the eye saw but they were tweaked for each hall
Daytime I used a linear output but for the evening I used extra shadow with -1 on exposure and a lift of the shadows
Then twiddle to taste and copy to all for that hall

BTW. If you watch the Shetland series then some of it was filmed in the eatery we went to after the burning -The Dowry
