Photo albums

Hiya

Can anyone recommend a profession looking 'weddingy' type photo album company, same idea as photobox etc, but with a wee bit more quality that would look good as a wedding album please?

We're doing our own photo's, and would like a professional looking album at the end of it, without having to re-mortgage for lol

Thanks
Sus

Re: Photo albums

We just purchased a good quality album from a stationers and printed our own. That way we had total quality and timliness control and it worked out so much cheaper !

Have a good day whatever you decide to do on the printing side !

Regards
Andy

Re: Photo albums

If you're on a Mac then Apples own service is (nearly) unbeatable in quality, if you're on a PC, you might check out Blurb

Re: Photo albums

Thankyou

I didn't actually think of buying an album and printing the pictures ourselves, will keep it in mind.

Wish I did have a mac, really miss the one i used to use (at last place I worked), we both have pc's I'm afraid, but will definately check blurb out.

Thanks

Just hope we get some good shots on the day There's going to be three photographers and a video (we are two of the tog's lol thank goodness for remote's )

Re: Photo albums

Try and persuade one of your photographer friends to put on a longer lens and capture candid head / head & shoulder shots of people from 20 or so foot away

People are less likely to notice the photographer and when I do that I usually get more interesting shots and often more plaudits than the pro.

The classic time to get this type of shot is when everyone is lined up for the formal shots and you're creeping around the side sneaking profiles and 3/4 face shots

However feel free to forget that and JUST HAVE FUN

BTW I got my E500 as my wedding prezzie to myself - I had time to take a total of 1 ONE picture. Luckily my best man is a pro photographer who managed a thousand or so during the day

Regards
Andy

Our best man is a really good tog, so we're hoping he's going to capture some belter's. My uncle's also a great photographer, and took a photo of me as a baby with a fethered edge! I thought this type of thing was only achievable in photoshop, but he did it with film! No idea how!
I hope I don't get too caught up in the day to take shots, although, i think my tamrac may clash, so will have to get someone to carry it for me lol
We're having a very informal wedding, so prob won't have a formal line-up, will just be shots we specify that we want and relaxed candid type shots. Not really planned it yet. We're all going to a whisky tour on the morning of the wedding! So should get some cracking shots from there

Cheers
Sus

Re: Photo albums

Hi Susan I got the Oly photo safari exhibition book from blurb and was well pleased with the quality, there are a few wedding type albums on view from other peoples wedding and not expensive for what you get worth a look
http://www.blurb.com/create/book/wedding_books and they now have a premium paper 100lbs instead of 80 .
