Ice Fall

We, in the central south, were forecast some snow yesterday.

Mid evening, I ventured out briefly and the ground was covered with solid aqueous white stuff. It was not flaky snow. It was not hail. It was angular lumps of ice, about fingernail size, which resembled old fashioned domestic soda, as sold by ICI in blue boxes.

Anyone get anything similar, or interesting variants?

Harold

Re: Ice Fall

We had a lot of slushy snow earlier, but all cleared now.

As long as it wasn't like this variant. It hurts! If it hits you.

That's the sort of thing for the individual lumps but any aggregations (I didn't check closely) would have been much smaller.
