Skye

Had a great trip to Skye with the camera club today including a thoroughly enjoyable visit to Jon (Seaonaidh) and Linda's 'Wee Tea Room' this afternoon.
I am far too tired to look through all the images tonight, but here is one from the golden sunrise at the Storr - more to follow

Thanks for looking

Iain,

Apologies for stating sunset instead of sunrise.

Sorry

Iain, for want of a more eloquant description, that is drop dead gorgeous!

And would that in the background be "the far Cuillins that be pulling me away"?

Re: Skye

Well, that's brightened up a Sunday morning

A fantastic scene, the sunrise/sunset light in those parts is beautiful, and the scenery's not too bad either!

Thanks Mark, it isn't the Cuillin Hills (although they should feature when I get around to looking at the rest of the images); in the foreground is the Isle of Rona and then part of the Applecross peninsula and the Torridon Hills at the back.

Re: Skye

Thanks for the comments so far folks, here are a few more from the day starting off at the Storr

We then headed back towards Portree for food, but stopped off at this brightly lit waterfall

Another 'bright' shot at Portree where the tide was out exposing this vibrant seaweed

At stop near Sligachan to catch a reflection in Loch Caol

And finally a panorama from Ullinish point

In contrast we awoke this morning to a dusting of snow and grey skies.

Re: Skye

Very nice. I think I remember that waterfall and shooting it in B & W many years ago.
