Happy Christmas / New Year

Well, another year nearly over, birthdays left right and centre, Christmas nearly here, and the annual man-cold nearly done and dusted!
For those who love the time of giving, the chance to catch up with family & friends yet often a time of loneliness for many people, a time to remember those that we have lost in the past year, may I wish you all the best for the Christmas time.
It's been a very mixed year for me, with some wonderful photo opportunities despite the best intentions of the weather to put a damp squib on it all, a total disaster for much outdoor landscape works, the loss of my dad, but through it all the enjoyment that family friends and acquaintences have brought. We've had some lovely E-group events and although I've been fairly quiet of late, I always enjoy seeing the great work that E-group members show on this site.
To you all I say cheers, happy New Year and here's to lots more fabulous photo opportunities (and . . . perhaps and E-7!!) in 2013.

Regards
Chris

Re: Happy Christmas / New Year

Happy Christmas to you and all!
I've found this site a great inspiration and source of good information and support provided by very friendly down to earth photographers who never fail to help and offer guidance for no return...I hope I'm in a better position to reciprocate having been a member this year.

Re: Happy Christmas / New Year

Yuletidings & s'Novim godom to you too Chris.

This eckin weather and the constant dark has been getting me seriously down, and although this year nobody died (yet) I'm looking forward to that week of summer we'll probably be getting in March.

When the SNOW hits let's be quick and organise a short-notice e-group session ... probably round your way too.
I can smugly demonstrate how these old Olympii deal with the brightness a lot better than Jdal's (oh and Chemop too I think?) newfangled e-M5 and he can demonstrate how to take a pic of that black cat down the pit.

I've got cider here.

Re: Happy Christmas / New Year

and a very very Merry one from me too Chris......the E-group has been an inspiration to me after a year of very High High's (daughter getting married) and low Low's...son suffered from depression and losing my sister a few days ago.

May everyone have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and hopefully better things to come for all.

Cheers

Peter

Hec, I know for a fact that you will be ecstatically grumpy over Christmas, having your bestest, grumpiest time ever!

Have a really Grumpy time; to everyone else, Happy Christmas!

Someday you should arrange to watch the film, "Grumpy Old Men," with Rick Wakeman and Victor Meldrew; you'd all have the most wonderfully grumpy time possible. Shame Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon aren't still around to join you. Could dig 'em up, I suppose!
