Various Lenses

Whilst at a shoot a few weeks back, I took some various shot's with the 50mm f2 and my 50-200mm f2.8, as well as my trusty 14-54mm.

I am not looking for critique....... but I would like to know the effects of using different lenses on portraiture.

No 1 .. actual compositions= 50mm & 2 @ 50-200mm

No 2.... 50mm cropped from original

No 3 50-200mm cropped

No 4 50-200mm cropped

I was led to believe that shooting with the 50-200mm gives a completely different perspective on a portrait than using a fixed lens for example.

This is a shot I have had in my gallery for a little while, shot with the 14-54mm

There are no rights/wrongs in portrait lenses, but is there a distinct difference in the perspective.

When is it the right time to use the 50mm or my 14-54mm etc ?

Any comments welcome.

My apologies if in the wrong thread.......Alan
