Panasonic 45-200 - any users out there?

I've just taken delivery of a mint but used one of these lenses from LCE and whilst it works perfectly I'm just concerned that the focus motor seems a little bit loud, especially when compared to my 14-140 which is virtually silent.

Could anybody else who has the 45-200 confirm they too have some motor noise or have I perhaps just got a slightly rogue copy?

Just tried mine. I had to double-check it was indeed focussing as it is so quiet. Can't hear it. Quieter than the 20mm.

By motor noise do you mean when its focussing or constant.

Havent noticed motor noise.. But there is a constant fan noise even when on manual focus non stabilised

Its not overly loud to me, about the same as stock kit lenses.

Like StephenL, my lens too is silent wether IS is on or off. Tried it in both bright and dim lighting conditions and at different focal lengths.
