Re: Summer Fruit.

WOW ... I could sure use a bunch of those cherries mate, they look deelishus!

I don't think we have "sloes" Downunder, Andy but we do of course grow cherries, especially in Tasmania.

Both pics are well seen and very appealing.

Re: Summer Fruit.

Those are rather good looking sloes especially for this time of year - should be ready for picking before the first frosts of the autumn perhaps? Could be a good year for Sloe Gin.

Regards
Chris

Good to see the Sloes for I.D. purposes, hopefully I might remember what they look like now. It's the Cherries one I like best ...love all the shiny reds.
I did not know there were wild cherries.

Re: Summer Fruit.

I like Sloe gin but have never made it myself.Normally my next door neighbour makes it and I get a sample.

Might give it a go this year.

Thanks for the comments.

Re: Summer Fruit.

Love that delicious cherry shot.

Re sloe gin, pint of gin + pound of sugar + pound of berries + bottle of tonic to take with the leftover gin. According to the landlady of one of my locals.
