Why am I always going the wrong way?

Shot through the drivers rear view side mirror as I stopped in a layby too late to catch the sunrise at the spot I'd planned.

Lucky I remembered to wipe the glass first.

Re: Why am I always going the wrong way?

Know the feeling spotted Buzzard on a pole stopped camera with me got all setting right slid out of car just as he dropped behind the hedge I got a great shot of an empty pole. Your first shot has a special look maybe just the mirror I thought it was taken in a tunnel until I read the thread.

Re: Why am I always going the wrong way?

Well I think you going the wrong way has worked to give you a more spectacular picture that if you had been going the right way.

I really like that first picture so imaginative.
Thanks for sharing.

The !st is much more striking as an image, Phil, the shape and reflected colour in the door makes it so.

Re: Why am I always going the wrong way?

Too bad missing the shot you'd planned, but that's one of the best car mirror shots I've seen. Also, crop most of the black off the bottom of the out of car shot so it doesn't dominate and you have a cracking sunrise panorama!

Re: Why am I always going the wrong way?

Hi Phill,

A couple of special ones there. I do like a nice silhouette sunrise / sunset. So the second one I would have been very pleased with myself.

The sunset tonight was a bit special also did you see it. Like you I was in the car but without the camera on the way home from Derby. Sod's law

Re: Why am I always going the wrong way?

Thanks everyone, for your lovely comments. John yes I tried it and you are right cutting more off the bottom does emphasise it nicely as a panorama. Ian I saw the end of that sunset tonight but likewise didn't have the camera to hand
