What was the percentage turnout in your EU defined constituency. The UK average in 2014 was 43.6%.

So what are you saying? (assuming that the MEPs shown represent your region)

a) I voted, but my choices didn't get in. In which case - well done, you're a good citizen and have taken part in a democratic process. Better luck next time!

b) Nobody voted for any of them. In which case a serious electoral fraud has take place and you should report it.

c) I didn't vote. In which case you deserve what you got and effectively sided with those that got in.

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

There are six MEPs in the Yorkshire and Humber region, two each Con, Lab and UKIP. I'm not sure I've heard of any of them! Turnout at the referendum was 70.7%, 1.6m Leave vs 1.2m Remain.

Mind you, there is a movement wanting independence for Yorkshire .

If you read the follow-on post{s), it would seem that all of your comments apply to many of those who took the time to be a good citizen.

Irrespective of party: So much for those MP's who who proclaim to be standing shoulder to shoulder with their constituancy Brexit vote?

Welcome to the club... I'll have a pint.

"The Netherlands’ attempts to rival the UK have not been going well of late. First £33 billion Anglo-Dutch publishing giant RELX announced it was moving its HQ entirely to London, then Unilever’s Dutch dash was thwarted by a major shareholder revolt. Now, despite the froth of the Brexit negotiations, Starbucks has become the latte-ist company to pick London over its continental rivals.

The caffeine-fuelled corporate announced that it is closing its Amsterdam office and is consolidating its EMEA HQ in London. To cup it all off, they have even encouraged their Amsterdam staff not to venti their frustrations but apply for open positions in their London office instead. Yet another story making a mocha-ry of Remainers’ claims that the UK won’t thrive after Brexit… "

Oh and UK Defence Journal

"Canadian government has announced it has selected Type 26 frigate design for its programme to build 15 new frigates.

LM & BAE Systems are the “preferred bidder""

Can't see what that's got to do with Brexit or the E.U.!

(Wait a minute - maybe British manufacturers are favourite because the pound is so cheap and if the pound continues to sag, the Canadians will only need to pay peanuts for them after next March because then it will be a 'fire sale'!)

Ignore the fact that this is the Guardian, it is a good summary:

BepiColombo is indeed good news, but it has relied on European collaboration.
