Re: The Official Street Thread - post your street pictures here!

I've renamed this thread, moved it to Foto Fair and made it sticky. Enjoy.

Thanks John. I'll have to use my Olympus kit to allow me to join in.

Obviously we don't want the forum swamped with pictures taken on cameras other than Olympus, but why not post, say, half a dozen just to get this thread fully up and running - you have my special permission! Just make sure you clearly state which camera(s) was used. Also include a link to your Flickr.

When you get your GM5, any pictures taken with an Olympus lens can be posted anyway. But also consider posting on our sister site, Four Thirds User. I'd like to see more members using that site as well as this one and there is an excellent ongoing thread by pro photographer Robert Watcher, documenting street life in Nicaragua.

Seems it is! I was originally thinking along the lines of someone starting a new, separate thread but this one sort of rapidly evolved so I've amended the title and moved from the Lounge to Foto Fair.

Maybe best to delete all the chat from the start then as I was lost and nearly binned it?

The problem is that we now have some pictures amongst the most recent chat. I'll have to ponder how best to go about it.

Thanks John for the special dispensation, so to move the thread along, here are few taken from Liverpool's canvas of life:

1st some taken with a GX7 coupled with a PL 25/f.4:

And here a couple taken with my GM5 coupled with P15/f1.7:

All straight out of the camera, so no PPing, but I'm sure I can improve them a bit in LR, cropping for instance.

Re: The Official Street Thread - post your street pictures here!

A fellow m4/3 shooter in our camera club posted this link on the club's FB page - a very interesting and well written article.

I've been using the iPhone technique myself especially with my GM1, whose electronic shutter and resemblance to a P&S are additional advantages. However it's going to take me a lot of practice to get images as good as these:
