A good read

I've never used the Art Filter function on my OM-D cameras until today whilst experimenting with Andreas Reb's excellent 'Camera Control' windows program for remote/tethered shooting using the E-M1's built-in WiFi.

This program has many more features than the OI-Share smartphone app and so far it has worked really well. You can find more details of 'Camera Control' at: https://rebs.biz/cc/en/index.html
(Unfortunately the User Manual is written in German - but with a little help from Google Translate you can work out what to do).

Whilst playing with KeyLine art filter I captured this:
The Sunday papers....

Re: A good read

I must admit, it's not a scene mode that appeals to me, but this looks good.

Re: A good read

The art filters are a feature I've avoided until recently. But having been prompted by the Art Filter category in the Olympus Global Photo Comp I've given them a go. The ZX-1, the EPL-1 and the E-M5 share some filters but not others. If you capture RAW and art filter jpgs at the same time the comparisons are interesting. Is this the key line filter?

Yes this is the Key-Line art filter, and the image was slightly over-exposed.
